And here it is, second part of photo report from Honza „Freesty“ Beránek documenting our week long trip around Stuttgard in Germany. First part took us to indoors bowl and the city of Waiblingen, where the Vans PRO Cup took place back in 2019.
Day 3-4: Kranichsteiner Str., 64289, Darmstadt, Germany. Its Wednesday and we set off in the direction of Frankfurt. Around 30 minutes before Frankfurt is the city of Darmstadt, with fresh new sport area build last year. Luckily for us also including a park with (beside many others) a pro park section, which was obviously the one place guys were attracted most to.
We woke up quite early and the crew goes out to scout the town a bit. Martin and Franta came back first and without much hesitation jumped right back to the park. The rest joined a bit later with few more photos from the streets. We rode the whole day, and it still wasn’t enough. Local chief, Udo Wagner joined us a for a session even though it was his birthday. He hyped up Martin into many different combos like jump over Franta and such. Udo rides a young lad even though he is 54. He even gave us a recommendation for next spot of our journey, Cloud 9 Trails located approximately two hours away. So, the plan was clear, and we couldn’t wait for proper finish of our trip in the woods.
Day 5: Cloud 9 Trails, 63791, Dettingen, Germany. We arrived right on time, however the local crew weren’t there yet, so we prepped bikes and ate a bit while we couldn’t wait to go in. The whole area is behind a fence and locked. Parking once again quite good, we set up our camp next to local tennis hall with total privacy. After few moments van pulled up and we met with the local captain. He led us into the park and showed us all the lanes. The park was quite big. Central area which is partly in construction is dominated by artificial hill which serves as starting point for the bigger left lane with around five jumps.
Second part of the park has two start points. Bigger one which leads to the area currently under construction and the second one leads to several smaller lanes. In the time of our visit several of them were open, so everyone found something they liked. Thing, that impressed me a lot was the incredible number of amenities including a workshop the local crew have built in the past eleven years. As I said before, the whole area is behind a fence and entrance will cost you five euro. And if you are out of cash, no worries, they also accept cards… heh.
The crew rode long into the night with proper barbecue session after. Even our Darmstadt guide Udo showed up with barrel of Apple wine :) As you would expect, the whole thing prolonged a bit, but we had to leave early in the morning, so…you probably know how it went down. Thanks to the whole crew for amazing atmosphere during the whole trip, thanks to C4U company for supporting us with luxurious caravan. One day again, one day in the future :) Just a reminder, the video from TBBC4U Road Trip is up online, so give it a watch if you haven’t already!
